Read All About It.

Reading was one of the main avenues I used to explore my sexuality. It felt safer than any other way and allowed me to explore at my own pace without dealing with anyone else’s emotions or opinions. 

It was probably only second to “The Oklahomos” in helping me normalize my sexuality. I had consumed years of heterosexual stories, tropes, ideas, romance, and culture.

I was finally able to see myself in stories and it not only made me feel seen but also less alone. And that is why representation matters and why I decided to publicly come out in the first place. 

I hope that any one of these stories provides you the same comfort they provided me.
